Spotlight!

Through my creative journey, I've joined a few groups, one of which is called Self Management For Actors run by Bonnie Gillespie, a casting director from Los Angeles. She offers classes and lectures on how to manage your acting career and how to 'tier up' as an actor. More on that another time. Well, one of her assignments was to learn how to self-tape quickly and efficiently so if you obtained an audition that required self-taping, you would be proficient at creating a self-tape for submission. This assignment called for self-taping once a day, every day for 30 days! So I said - challenge accepted!

Since this was every day for 30-days challenge, I thought I would make it easier by making a list of about 30 to 35 different things I could self-tape, including monologues, stories, reading passages, etc. Then I placed these all in a basket and would pull one out and do that activity.

Some of the self-tape turned out ok, some really did not. Those that did not are going to stay 'in the can'! Watching them again now, yeah, some of them are not too great.

So today I will share one about a story from my life. This was an actual event that occurred and I hope it makes you smile. Enjoy!

As some of you may know, life did not bless me with my own children yet it seems my home appears very comfortable for non-human offspring. We have several bird nests close to our house and boy is it loud in the morning! It all starts promptly at 5:10 when the little ones wake up hungry and cry for food. It's funny because once fed, it's quiet again, by 5:30! Those moms are quick! In addition to the birds, we have a number of bunny nests which also keep the dogs busy! No bunnies were harmed because they were protected by Momma Judy!

So in honor of Mother's Day, I give you a number of pictures and a video of what it's like at the Clark pack house!

A very Happy Mother's Day to all those who are or have motherly instincts! Enjoy!

This is a picture just outside our front door.

A close up picture of Momma on the nest.

This is what happens when you tick off Momma. You're sent to your own room!

This is what happens when dinner time coincides with taping! For some reason, dinner is more important than Bedtime Stories! Have a great day e

So last time I showed you a commercial that you would have missed me if you blinked. This time I have a commercial that I definitely 'starred' in. It was funny because I'm not so sure my director liked my performance but I gathered the company did because this commercial played a lot! So much so, my husband kept receiving calls because people were concerned for my well-being. Take a look and see for yourself. Try to enjoy this one! LOL
